Faith Center VBS location update: The Aug. 3–5 VBS gatherings have moved indoors to Faith Center La Grande because of air quality.

Faith Center VBS: Monday at Faith Center La Grande (Family, Kids) — Faith Center VBS — Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, 6–8 p.m. at Faith Center La Grande. Moved indoors because of air quality; free for potty-trained children through fifth grade.
Main Street Mondays Neighborhood Coffee (Community, Business) — First Monday of each month, 9:30 a.m. at the Press Room. Free coffee; monthly presenters and topics may vary. August 3: Carolyn Dooley on social marketing for small town merchants.

Fiddles On Fire joins Riverside Park Summer Concerts (Music, Community, Family) — Fiddles On Fire performs Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, from 6–8 p.m. at Riverside Park in La Grande as part of the 2026 Summer Concerts series.

Blue Mountains Conservancy Wild Schools summer schedule (Outdoors, Kids, Blue Mountains Conservancy, Family) — Free Blue Mountains Conservancy Wild Schools summer programs include Wild Preschool for ages 0–6 and Wild School for ages 6–12, with dates from May 16 through August 8.
Sketch and Release: Black Artists in Rural Oregon tour coming to La Grande (Arts, Community, Music) — Touring multimedia performance and docu-series "Sketch and Release" visits Hood River, Boardman, La Grande, and Baker City Aug. 5–8. Free and open to the public. La Grande screening: Friday, Aug. 7, 5:30 p.m. at Cook Memorial Library.

Blue Mountains Conservancy Wild Schools summer schedule (Outdoors, Kids, Blue Mountains Conservancy, Family) — Free Blue Mountains Conservancy Wild Schools summer programs include Wild Preschool for ages 0–6 and Wild School for ages 6–12, with dates from May 16 through August 8.
Elkhorn Relay returns Aug. 8, 2026 (Sports, Outdoors) — Sat., Aug. 8, 2026, 5 a.m. at Hilgard Junction State Park; 80.6-mile, six-person relay. Registration closes July 11.
