Sketch and Release: Black Artists in Rural Oregon tour coming to La Grande
Touring multimedia performance and docu-series "Sketch and Release" visits Hood River, Boardman, La Grande, and Baker City Aug. 5–8. Free and open to the public. La Grande screening: Friday, Aug. 7, 5:30 p.m. at Cook Memorial Library.
Sketch and Release is a touring multimedia performance and docu-series centered on Black creatives living and working in rural Oregon. Created and led by multidisciplinary artist Jason McNeal Graham (MOsley WOtta), the 60-minute experience blends filmed interviews, live performance, music, painting, and guided conversation.
The program is stopping at four Eastern Oregon libraries in early August. All screenings are free and open to the public.
