StarLab planetarium at Riverside Pavilion (Family, Science) — Kids can explore GO STEM’s mobile StarLab planetarium at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Riverside Pavilion in La Grande.

Back to School Resource Fair set for Aug. 12 (Family, Community, Education) — Back to School Resource Fair — Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, 2–7 p.m. at 1108 4th Street in La Grande. Food, resources, games and clothing vouchers.

Community Roundtable: Public Safety — Police Edition (Government, Public Safety, City) — Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, 6–7:30 p.m. at La Grande City Hall. Public safety roundtable with La Grande Police Department representatives.
Mud Kitchen Kids summer series runs June through August (Outdoors, Kids, Blue Mountains Conservancy) — Blue Mountains Conservancy’s Mud Kitchen Kids summer series offers $25 drop-off outdoor play sessions for potty-trained children ages 3–7 from June 11 through August 27.

2026 Annual CASA Carnival (Family, Community, Food) — The 2026 Annual CASA Carnival is Saturday, Aug. 15, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. at Riverside Park Pavilion in La Grande.
26th Annual Cove Cherry Fair - Aug. 15 (Family, Music, Community) — Saturday, Aug. 15 at Ascension School Grounds in Cove: pancake breakfast at 7 a.m.; fair from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. Free and family-friendly.
Cove Education Foundation Pancake Breakfast (Family, Community, Cove) — Pancake breakfast — Saturday, Aug. 15, 7–11 a.m. at Cove Ascension School’s Founders Hall Dining Room. Adults $9; ages 5–11 $4; under 5 free.
La Grande Farmers Market — Saturdays (Farmers Market, Food & Drink, Community) — Saturdays, 9 a.m.–noon, May 9–October 17, 2026 at Max Square, 4th and Adams in downtown La Grande.

Pie and Ice Cream at Pleasant Grove Grange (Community) — Pleasant Grove Grange hosts pie, ice cream, yard games and conversation at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16. Donations, including pie, are accepted.
